I’ve lived a life shaped by pain, resilience, and the unwavering love of dogs.
Growing up in a dysfunctional family, I endured abuse, neglect, and narcissistic parents. Years later, my father’s conviction for paedophilic acts cemented the trauma of my childhood.
Those early years left me with deep wounds, seeking reassurance and acceptance from others—often the wrong people. I was drawn to narcissistic partners, business partners, employees and friends, while I overlooked those who were genuinely kind.
Depression hit me as early as 5 or 6 years old. By 8, I thought about ending my life. School was no refuge—daily bullying in primary school escalated to physical torment in secondary school. I’d hide in gardens at lunch just to escape.
But through it all, I had dogs. 🐶
They were my safe haven, my constant companions, offering love no human could match.
Surviving Adulthood
As an adult, life grew more complex. I fell into a deeply manipulative and abusive relationship that nearly destroyed me. It triggered severe health issues, including stomach problems and stress on my genetic heart condition. I left behind hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of hard work to save myself.
While she went on to lie and destroy a reputation that I had worked relentlessly for, leaving plunged me into another pit of depression, where I struggled to find a reason to go on.
How My Dogs Saved Me
My dogs saved me.
I couldn’t bear the thought of them suffering if I gave up. They gave me purpose. I threw myself into therapy—sometimes three sessions a week—to confront a lifetime of pain.
Dogs have been my lifeline, teaching me loyalty and trust in a way few people ever have. Today, I’m estranged from my family, but I’m blessed with a few loyal friends and my dogs.
A New Chapter Begins
Now, I’m embarking on a new chapter: traveling Australia (and maybe beyond!) to teach people about dogs and share my Straight-Line System for training.
Dogs have been my salvation, and I want to show others how they can transform lives too.
Join me on this journey—let’s celebrate the power of dogs together!
